| Abstract: | The present study deals with the role of public library system for the transformation of the Kerala society. The study tries to find out the exact changes that happened in the traditional socio-cultural scenario of the Kerala society after the middle of the 18th century. The present study exclusively focuses on the socio-cultural as well as political changes happened in the Kerala society after the introduction of public libraries in Kerala. And the study also touches on the relationship between Kerala Models of d Development and public library system of Kerala. |
